The new Kitako Twin Spindle CNC lathe is designed to reduce
idle time. To compensate for unequal cycle times on the first
operation on the first spindle and second operation on the
second spindle, the MT2-200W features a No Idle Time Function.
With this function, when the turret on the first operation is
completed, it will support the second operation being done
on the second spindle. Thus, the second spindle works like
a 4 axis lathe with dual turrets. High-speed turret indexing
also keeps idle time to a minimum. Both turrets have 12 tool
capacity each for flexibility in machining. Large diameter
spindles, supported by double-row cylindrical roller bearings
and angular contact bearings, also contribute to the
MT2-20OW's performance.

The 4,500 rpm spindles are driven by two independent AC drive
motors with 35HP motor on each spindle. The MT2-20OW's
maximum turning length and diameter are 4.72" and 7.87" respectively.

The automated turning system includes a parts stacker and part
loading system as an automated turning cell. This system can be
utilized for both A/A operation and A/B operation. Live tooling is optional.
