ROTARY TRANSFER MACHINE REBUILD

- We are pleased to present a quote to rebuild your Rotary
Transfer Machine. The following items will be completed:
-
- I. DISASSEMBLY
- A) Complete disassembly of your machine
- Remove existing guards & covers
- Remove existing lube system
- Remove existing electrical system
- Remove existing hydraulic system/components
- Remove existing pneumatic system/components
- B) Clean and inspect machine, base, and components
- Steam clean, remove all build-up
- Check machine base for cracks, imperfections, defects,
and excessive wear
- Check components for ability to reuse
- II. SYSTEMS
- A) Mechanical
- Ball Screw Systems to eliminate feed cams
- Design and build all components to install three ball
screw systems
- Design and assemble mounts for adapting a servo to each
ball screw
- B) Electrical
- Purchase and install a new Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
System
- PanelView 1000 Color Display with keypad
- 4 211 mm x 158 mm Color Active Matrix Thin Film
Transistor (TFT) display; 640 x 480 pixel resolution
- 4 16 Function keys, Numeric keypad, Cursor Control
keys
- 4 Operator interface and fault messaging

- Purchase and install a new electrical system:
- Total rewire
- New electrical components, including push buttons, switches,
junction boxes, ducting, and electrical cabinet with back panel
and inter-locking disconnect Identification tags for all push
buttons, switches, solenoids, regulators, axes, and pressure
switches Engrave the wireway covers in the main electrical
enclosure to identify the electrical components Allen-Bradley
Servo MotorsConsists of three servo motors, three servo axis
modules, three feedback and power cables

- Allen-Bradley Servo Indexer- Consists of a servo motor and
indexer
- C) Lube
- Purchase and install a new automated lubrication system
for the ways
- Low level alarm
- Replace all lube lines, lube injectors and pressure
switches
- D) Pneumatics
- Purchase and install new pneumatic system
- Replace all pneumatic lines, switches, regulators,
valves
- E) Coolant
- Purchase and install new coolant system components
- Replace all coolant lines, switches, and valves
- III. MACHINING/REASSEMBLY
- A) Grind, Scrape & Fit
- The bed ways of the machine will be precision ground and
then scraped
- The three upper slide ways will be precision ground on a
way grinder and then hand scraped and fit to the bed
- B) Tapping Heads
- Check and rebuild all three tapping heads
- Customer will furnish the lead screws & nuts
- C) Drilling Heads
- Check and rebuild the two drilling heads
- D) Clamping Stations
- Check and rebuild all four clamping stations
- E) Complete reassembly of the machine
- IV. FABRICATION
- A) Design and build all protective covers and guarding for
safe operation
- Fabricate an operator station
- V. PAINT
- A) Prepare and paint the entire machine to your specified
color.
- VI. ENGINEERING SUPPORT
- A) Develop and install software to troubleshoot and operate
system
- B) Provide documentation consisting of the following:
- Machine Software
- Electrical System
- Mechanical Assembly
- Lube System
- Pneumatic System
- Coolant System
- VII. RUNOFF
- A) Prepare machine for runoff at Inter-Motion with your
parts
- Includes power-up of machine and debug of the electrical
system
- Perform a preliminary runoff
- Set up a runoff schedule with you
- VIII. SHIPPING
- A) Prepare the machine for shipment to your facility after a
successful runoff and your approval of the machine
- Complete any agreed upon changes resulting from
runoff
- Cleaning of the machine
- Wrapping the machine with a protective plastic wrap
- Standard shipment procedure, which includes a thorough
six-page checklist of items that will be completed before the
machine ships

- Purchase leveling pads for the machine.
- Six (6) to eight (8) pads for machine leveling

- Terms: 50% After teardown at Inter-Motion, Inc.
- 40% After acceptance at Inter-Motion, Inc.
- 10% After Installation at your location not to exceed thirty
(30) days from date of shipment
